This position supports stores located throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs. Only candidates residing within the local area will be considered.
Position Mission:The Preventative Maintenance Technicianis responsible forprovidingthe service and support necessary tomaintainequipment for 45-65retail coffeehouses ina first-class condition through preventative maintenanceinstallations and repair support.
You will thrive in this role byanticipatingand troubleshooting the equipment as necessary to provide a quality product in our coffeehousesYou will be successful in this role if you are eager to learn new thingsthroughproactive planning, problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.This position requires 60-70% travel.
Core Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within Company-owned retail coffeehouses
Complete regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment including espresso/brewing,HVACand refrigeration. This includes, but is not limited to:
Responsible for independently managing scheduling based on needs of the business
Tracking andmaintainingequipment data
Evaluate equipment to assess for repairs or replacement as needed
Provide trouble shooting support for store operations on equipment issues
Provide direct service support to the retail stores for repair and maintenance needs for day-to-day operations as well as emergency needs
Install and de-install equipment
Coordinate repairs through 3rdparty service providers identifiedduring scheduled maintenance
Identifyrepair trends and issues through partnership with Store Operations leadership
Report issues andfinding toFacilities leadership toidentifynext steps
Adapt communication tothe storeleadership to ensure partnership is effectively maintained
Constructively address problems and issues as they arise to find acceptable and practical solutions based on knowledge of the company's best practices
Inventory control and management
Transport products as needed to and from supplier,storageand coffee house.
Maintain spare parts inventory and orders parts asrequired
Skills and Qualifications
Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals of differing knowledge levels (vendors, sub-contractors, operations management, corporate staff, etc.).
Excellent customer service skills
Strong management capabilities tomaintaincontrol of activities of contractors, suppliers, jobsupervisorsandnumerousprojects
Proven ability to solve problems, perform data analytics, think critically, and maketimelydecisions
Excelinafast paced,results oriented, and dynamic environment; flexible and can respond quickly and effectively to business issues
Highly motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests
Ability tooperatewitha high levelof independence, professionalism, and accountability.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 2 yearsofexperience servicing restaurant equipment (experience with espresso and brewing equipment is a plus) as well as experiencemaintainingmechanical,electricaland plumbing systems.
Basic understanding of mechanical,electricaland plumbing building systems.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
Valid Driver’s license
Possess a reliable work vehicle able to transport a ladder necessary for roof access as well as tools,partsand filters.
Preferred:
Certification in refrigeration.
PhysicalRequirements
The physical demands for this position aresits, stands, bends, and lifts/carries up to 150lbs, handling up to 300lbs,climbladders,accessesequipment andmovescontinually during working hours. These physical requirements may beaccomplishedwith or without reasonableaccommodations

Compensation Range:
$27.31 - $45.52 per hour
* Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
**Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
