The Department of Pretrial Services has an immediate need for a Pretrial Services Project Coordinator in Jefferson County.
The Pretrial Services Project Coordinator collaborates with the Region Administrator and Region Coordinator to support regional staff in executing daily operations, programs, and projects, ensuring timely preparation, accurate review, and effective maintenance of special projects and reports. Assists with scheduling, delivering training, and monitoring quality assurance, and facilitates regional trainings and the Pretrial Academy to enhance staff performance and program compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
EDUCATION: Associates Degree
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: At least two (2) years working with or within the criminal justice, judicial, and/or legal systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office or similar indoor environment. Statewide travel is required. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts to attend court and/or meet with incarcerated and pretrial release individuals. Occasionally exposed to loud noise when meeting inmates in jail. Occasionally requires exposure to defendants who may become violent or threatening. Requires flexibility in schedule to meet operational needs. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Due to the nature of the job duties and responsibilities, this position is not authorized for virtual work.
