Job Description
The Press Utility is a valuable role for any food manufacturing business. Our Press Utilities perform essential work performing inspections and general sanitation of the pasta production area to ensure safe and edible product is produced consistent with food safety standards. This role performs strenuous work assisting production personnel with sanitation issues during start-ups, shutdowns, and routine production operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs in-depth cleaning of production lines according to Master Sanitation Schedule. Monitors any wear on equipment for factors that could affect production, and communicates equipment wear per standard operating procedures
Communicates equipment conditions causing sanitation issues that require attention during a periodic maintenance cycle event
Maintains logs for food safety audit purposes. Participate in department food safety and safety audits
Assist team members with sanitation efforts on unassigned machines, and maintain, and clean other areas, as needed
Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Previous manufacturing experience
Previous experience operating a forklift or reach truck
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred

Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
Must be able to bend and crawl for 7+ hours per shift
Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift
Must be able to reach and grasp for 6+ hours per shift
