Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Training Lead for the Press Department in the Villa Rica 1 facility.
The successful candidate will have computer skills, the ability to work independently, a focus on customer satisfaction, high detail orientation, good decision-making skills, be flexible, be self-motivated/directed, and be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
This position will be a40-hourdays flex day schedule. There may be a need to work nights as well depending on the training needs.
Pay: $27.21 - $40.81 depending on experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong technical skills in theprinting process
Ability to interpret measurement data (measurements and charts)
Preferred Skills:
Four years ofPressPrintingexperience is preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong computer skills, good listening and reading skills with high retention
Ability to write Work Instructions, SOPs and OPLs
Ability to prioritize and balance workload
Positive attitude and ability to easily adapt to varying work challenge
Internal Candidates:
A rating of "Performer" or higher on the last performance review
No current discipline of written or above
Must have been in current position for at least 120 days
Key Responsibilities:
· Provides direct leadership to thePressdepartment and indirect leadership to the plant
· Facilitate training activities forPressDepartment
· Facilitate new hire orientation and assist in the onboarding process for new hires
· Work withPressassociates to develop BDP’s for safety, quality, and waste
· Support the plant’s food safety and HIRARC teams’ initiatives
· Manage associate administrative processes (reviews, training, Workday, etc.)
· Conducts Shift Meetings
· Manage Production Reporting
· Fill in as needed inPressdepartment
· Manage the duties of an operator, including but not limited to:
Accurately document and record information
Maintain performance numbers while producing good quality product
Facilitate press make-ready, run and wash-up
Effectively troubleshoot print quality, register and technical specification issues
Set up and operating the press in an effective and efficient manner
Monitor equipment and the printing process to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards
Demonstrates timely and effective problem solving skills
Provides data to Prism in support of the manufacturing, sales, and materials information systems
Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform quality control tests to ensure customer specifications
Ensures that finished product is produced according to customer specifications
