- The Press Brake Operator at MORGAN STEEL LLC is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision and quality of metal components used in various projects and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine machine settings and adjustments.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Monitor the quality of finished products, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve any operational issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Document and report production data, including completed work orders and machine performance metrics.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to press brake operations and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Proven track record of working with various metal types and thicknesses to produce precise components.
- Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in setting up and adjusting press brake machines to perform tasks such as bending, cutting, and shaping metal.
- Strong understanding of machine operation and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ability to perform quality checks and measurements using precision tools to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process.
