SaskEnergy is seeking an inspiring and strategic President and Chief Executive Officer to lead Saskatchewan’s provincial natural gas utility into its next chapter of growth, innovation, and public service. As a Crown corporation serving homes, businesses, and industries across the province, SaskEnergy plays a vital role in delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy. This is an opportunity to lead a complex, high‑impact organization that is foundational to Saskatchewan’s economy and long‑term prosperity.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides vision, leadership, and direction for all aspects of SaskEnergy’s operations. The successful candidate will guide corporate strategy, champion a culture of safety and service excellence, and ensure strong financial and operational performance. They will work closely with government partners, Crown Investments Corporation, Indigenous communities, and diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment with provincial priorities while maintaining a focus on environmental responsibility, community wellbeing, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished senior executive with experience leading large, multi‑faceted organizations—preferably within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other heavily regulated sectors. They bring a strong strategic mindset, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence effectively across teams, stakeholders, and government. Exceptional leadership, communication, and change‑management capabilities are essential, as is a proven track record of building high‑performing executive teams. Knowledge of the natural gas industry is an asset, along with demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, and public service.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a major provincial Crown corporation during a time of industry evolution and economic transformation. The CEO will have a meaningful impact on Saskatchewan’s communities, economy, and energy future—while enjoying an exceptional quality of life within a province known for its spirit of collaboration and strong work‑family balance.
