Job Description

The Prescription Access Specialist is responsible for driving engagement with clinicians and office staff to expand GoodRx Prescription Services utilization under DistributeRx. This role focuses on removing prescription access barriers, increasing medication fulfillment, and supporting clinicians in providing cost-effective solutions for patients.

A successful candidate will take ownership of their territory, leveraging a consultative approach to educate prescribers and staff on GoodRx Prescription Services as a streamlined alternative for prescription fulfillment.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Clinician Engagement & Education: Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians educating them on GoodRx Prescription Services solutions that enhance prescription accessibility and improve patient adherence.
  • Prescription Fulfillment Growth: Drive adoption of GoodRx Prescription Services by strategically positioning GoodRx Prescription Services as a trusted, cost-effective, and hassle-free alternative to traditional prescription fulfillment.
  • Market Development & Execution: Analyze territory trends and develop targeted access strategies to maximize script volume while ensuring seamless implementation of GoodRx Prescription Services solutions.
  • Patient Access Advocacy: Partner with clinicians and their offices to help remove barriers to prescription access, providing actionable insights that allow prescribers to offer cost savings and predictable pricing options.
  • Business Performance & Sales Execution Own and drive sales objectives within an assigned territory, proactively identifying opportunities for increased GoodRx Prescription Services utilization and prescription conversion.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic clinician engagement plans to increase awareness and adoption of GoodRx Prescription Services.
  • Collaborate with offices, prescribers, and pharmacy liaisons to drive seamless prescription fulfillment and patient access.
  • Analyze prescribing trends and access barriers to positionGoodRx Prescription Services as a viable solution.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and staff on cost savings, formulary exclusions, and access hurdles that GoodRx Prescription Services can help address.
  • Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs), including prescription volume, fulfillment rates, and clinician adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Sales & Business Acumen: Demonstrates strong territory planning, data analysis, and prioritization to identify opportunities, guide strategy, and execute effectively. Uses insights and performance metrics to drive GoodRx Prescription Services adoption and maximize prescription fulfillment.
  • Self-Starter & Accountable: Demonstrates an ownership mindset by proactively planning and preparing for accounts, aligning activities to goals and milestones, and taking full accountability for execution, follow-through, and results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of direct sales experience; pharmaceutical sales strongly preferred
  • Strong presentation skills (both oral and written) required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must have strong computer skills (including MS Office and Sales Force software)

Physical Requirements:

  • Business travel required
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently
