Preschool Teacher – Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood, NJ

Pay: $17–$18 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. You’ll work as part of a supportive teaching team to create a classroom where children build confidence, independence, friendships, and important early learning skills.

What You’ll Do

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Preschool classroom
• Implement age-appropriate learning activities and The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Engage children through art, music, movement, literacy, sensory play, and hands-on learning
• Support children’s language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
• Observe children’s development and celebrate individual milestones
• Build positive relationships and communicate with families
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and nurturing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
