Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ

Pay: $18-$19 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to create an engaging classroom where children are excited to learn, explore, and grow.

As a Preschool Teacher, you'll help children strengthen their early academic skills, language, independence, friendships, and confidence through purposeful play and hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Preschool classroom
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
• Observe children's development and maintain required documentation
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred
• Preschool classroom experience is a plus
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented
• Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
