Preschool Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience – Pewaukee, WI

Pay: $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Pewaukee is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of children approximately 2.5–3 years old.

This is an exciting stage of early childhood development. Children are building language, independence, friendships, self-help skills, and confidence as they prepare for the preschool years. We're looking for a teacher who can create a nurturing, structured classroom while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5–3 years old
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, literacy, and hands-on exploration
• Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, developing self-help skills, and positive peer relationships
• Support toileting readiness and classroom transitions
• Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership
• Follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with older toddlers or preschool-age children preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented
• Ability to meet Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
