Pay: $18–$19.25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Gurnee is looking for an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our full-time teaching team. We're looking for someone who loves working with young children and enjoys making learning meaningful through play, exploration, creativity, and consistent classroom routines.
You'll help preschoolers develop the academic, social, and emotional foundations they need for their next big step while becoming part of a supportive early childhood education team.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging daily experiences for preschool-aged children
- Implement play-based activities that support early literacy, math, science, creativity, and problem-solving
- Encourage independence, confidence, communication, and positive peer relationships
- Guide children through learning centers, group activities, meals, outdoor play, and classroom transitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom
- Observe children's progress and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Follow all Illinois childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare classroom preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, dependable, energetic, and passionate about working with children
- Must meet Illinois childcare licensing requirements
