Full-Time | Leadership Role | Early Childhood Education


The Goddard School® is seeking an experienced and passionate School Director to lead our locations in Alexandria and Kingstowne, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is committed to high-quality early childhood education and team development.

As School Director, you will oversee daily operations, support and develop staff, ensure compliance with licensing and brand standards, and create a nurturing, engaging environment for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and company standards
• Hire, train, coach, and retain high-quality teaching staff
• Lead implementation of the Wonder of Learning® curriculum
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community
• Manage enrollment, scheduling, and school budget
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
• Foster a positive, collaborative school culture
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of classroom experience in early childhood education
• At least 1 year of leadership or management experience
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning best practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Passion for working with children and supporting educators
• Must meet all state licensing requirements and pass background checks
