SUMMARY
The
Presales Engineer
will help clients
navigate complex technology decisions, resulting in a clear, detailed,
actionable plan that our Projects team can execute. This role will drive
successful business outcomes by combining deep technical expertise in areas
such as cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and managed IT services with an
inquisitive mind and ability to consult with clients and propose solutions. To
be successful in this role you'll need to be comfortable on discovery calls
with clients, asking probing questions to learn about their business and
technology pain points. This will be measured by client satisfaction, accuracy
of project plans, and the seamless handoff of actionable solutions to the
Projects team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Engagement: Participate in scoping
calls with clients to understand business challenges, technical requirements,
and desired outcomes.

Requirements Analysis: Investigate and
validate client requirements through detailed discussions and discovery
sessions.

Environment Assessment: Document the
client’s existing infrastructure, applications, and operational processes to
identify gaps and opportunities.

Solution Design: Develop comprehensive,
scalable, and cost-effective managed services solutions tailored to client
needs.

Presentation & Proposal: Create and
deliver compelling solution presentations and proposals that clearly articulate
value, technical approach, and benefits.

Collaboration: Work closely with sales
teams, Projects department, and Support teams to ensure proposed solutions are
feasible and aligned with organizational capabilities.

Research and learn emerging technologies,
while consulting with internal decision makers to inform company offerings and
services

Educate internal teams on new solutions,
how we sell and deploy them, and how they can fit into existing offerings

The Presales Engineer is a key role that
contributes to the company’s overall success or failure. Due to the nature of
the role combined with the company’s aggressive growth goals, the role is
expected to evolve and grow over time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-
High School Diploma
required
-
Bachelor’s Degree in
IT related field preferred.
Technical Skills
-
5+ years technical
support experience in an MSP Environment
-
Strong knowledge of
desktop and server operating systems
-
Deep knowledge of
networking concepts and design(IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls)
-
Extensive experience
designing cloud solutions (O365, Azure, Azure AD, Intune)
-
Familiarity with ITIL
frameworks and service management best practices

Experience with Remote
Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools. (Datto RMM a Plus)

Experience with
Autotask PSA a Plus

Microsoft 365
Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) is a Plus

Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) is a Plus
