Providing inspections and laboratory testing services ​for all Oil & Petrochemicals as well as coal.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a casual Preparation/Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Moranbah site. The focus of this role will be using specialised equipment and performing manual handling tasks to prepare coal samples and laboratory testing. You will also be involved in the simulation of coal production processes in order to test the properties of coal samples.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
• Previous laboratory or sample preparation experience in any field would be well regarded but is not essential
• Certificate III or IV in Laboratory skills (preferred but not required)
• A methodical and well organised approach to your work.
• Ability to pass an CBM Medical
• Valid Queensland driver’s license
• Would suit an applicant looking for a career change, transferrable skills from hospitality and retail areas
• Ability to work shift work and weekend overtime is essential
• Must be reliable and with good communication skills
