You will manage the M edia preparation team (Prep Mil) function in our Belgium Quality Control labs. You will lead a hands-on team that prepares mediafor routine and project testing You will work closely with QC lab teams quality assurance, procurement and technical services to protect quality and supply. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead and coach a team responsible for preparing media preparations
- Ensure preparation records, labels and traceability meet GMP and site quality standards.
- Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance and laboratory readiness to avoid delays.
- Plan capacity and priorities to meet testing schedules and manage short-term resource changes.
- Lead investigations, deviations and corrective actions tied to media activities.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase safety, quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily media prepactivity and assign tasks to meet agreed timelines.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and batch records.
- Verify material identity, correct labelling, storage and stability requirements.
- Coordinate with QA, Technical service and engineering to resolve supply or equipment issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for prep-related quality events.
- Train staff on safe handling, documentation and quality expectations.

Why You?

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacy, bioengineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a GMP laboratory environment with hands-on preparation tasks.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising or leading a small laboratory team.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as deviations, CAPA, change control and SOP management.
- Practical experience with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration and qualification.
- This role is hybrid with regular on-site presence required in Belgium. Candidates must be able to work on-site.

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus
- Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience preparing reagents and standards for analytical methods.
- Experience in regulated pharmaceutical or vaccine laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with laboratory computer systems and access/change control.
- Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, 5S or similar).
- French or Dutch language skills in addition to English.

Belgium Salary Range / Fourchette salariale – Belgique: EUR 67,275 to EUR 112,125The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location.
