Job Description

The Prep Cook plays a key role in the kitchen, where they are responsible for preparing ingredients and food items before service. In addition, they assist the line cooks during service to help ensure a smooth and efficient flow of dishes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits;
• Assist the kitchen team in preparing basic recipes and components;
• Receive and properly store deliveries and inventory;
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards;
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen;
• Adhere to occupational health and safety policies and procedures;
• Perform any other duties necessary to support the efficient operation of the kitchen.

• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment;
• Strong interest in the culinary field;
• Motivated and eager to learn and grow (on-the-job training provided);
• Punctual, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean work environment;
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
