Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro is looking for dependable, hardworking Prep Cooks to join our growing kitchen team. We are an Indigenous-owned restaurant serving modern Indigenous comfort food, takeout, catering, and community-focused dining experiences. We’re looking for team members who are reliable, respectful, and ready to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, and ingredients
• Assist with food assembly and line preparation
• Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety standards
• Maintain clean and organized prep stations
• Support kitchen operations, catering prep, and inventory organization
• Help maintain proper food storage, labeling, and FIFO practices

What We’re Looking For

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset, but not required

Requirements

• Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
