Join our HNC EMEA team on a fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave in Premix Operations. You'll drive raw material substitutions and formulation updates that keep our premix portfolio running, collaborating across Quality, Supply Chain, and Production — gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced global ingredients business.

Your key responsibilities

• Execute mass updates and raw material substitutions in premix formulation systems, ensuring uninterrupted operations across EMEA during the coverage period.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders — Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Master Data, and Production — to manage substitution projects end to end.
• Communicate material changes to Account Managers and support the Formulation team with substitution possibilities and risk assessments.
• Contribute to the continuous development of raw material comparison resources and preference lists.
• Support process and system optimization initiatives, including SOP updates, digital transformation projects, and SAP quality test implementation.
• Collaborate across functions to support daily operational queries and strengthen cross-team knowledge sharing.

You bring

• A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Chemistry, or a related field, combined with 4+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role within the food, beverage, or supplements industry.
• Familiarity with premix formulations, raw material management, or related areas such as QC/QA, product development, or regulatory — you understand the ingredients landscape.
• A strong sense of accountability — you take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and see things through with minimal supervision. Essential in a temporary role where ramp-up speed matters.
• A collaborative spirit — you're at your best working across teams, functions, and countries, building relationships that make complex operations run smoothly.
• Comfort with SAP and formulation systems; experience with CRM tools is a plus. You're structured, detail-oriented, and documentation comes naturally to you.
• Very good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. An additional European language and the ability to hit the ground running round out your profile.
