  • As a PreMaster in embedded sensor computing technologies, you conduct comprehensive analyses of RISC‑V processor cores and compare them against established commercial and proprietary CPU architectures
  • By evaluating different processor solutions, you assess software ecosystems including compilers, toolchains, embedded RTOS and AI frameworks
  • You analyze architectural capabilities by examining standard and custom instruction set extensions and their impact on system performance
  • Through ASIC‑based evaluations, you assess hardware efficiency with a focus on power, performance and area (PPA)
  • In close collaboration with internal experts and external partners, you contribute to data-driven decision-making and present complex technical results to a professional audience

Qualifications

  • Personality: Genuine curiosity and passion for processor technology and the hardware–software interface; analytical mindset and enthusiasm for deep technical topics
  • Working Practice: Structured, independent and proactive way of working; enjoys diving into complex architectures and learning through hands-on analysis and collaboration
  • Experience and Knowledge: Solid understanding of computer architecture fundamentals, embedded systems and AI on the edge; experience with C/C++ programming and compilers such as GCC or LLVM; knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL) is a plus
  • Languages: Very good English; German is a plus
  • Education: Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology or a related field

Additional Information

The Bosch PreMaster Program (Gap Year Program) is a two-stage qualification program for committed graduates with Bachelor's degrees  who want to complete a Master's degree. After the Bachelor's degree, the first phase provides up to 12 months' practical experience for familiarization with technical and business interrelationships. The second phase comprises the Master's course and includes personal mentoring on the road to successful completion.
