Job Description:

This job is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and goals, with accountability for strategic planning, execution, and oversight. Key responsibilities include driving process transformation, developing business cases, managing risk across workstreams, and ensuring integration across product, channel, and operations teams. Job expectations include influencing decisions, maintaining stakeholder relationships, overseeing change management, and delivering outcomes through governance and performance tracking.

The Preferred Business Acquisition & Enablement Strategy Consultant will lead strategic initiatives that help Preferred Business acquire new relationships, deepen existing client relationships, and strengthen the end-to-end experience for Small Business owners.

The role will translate business priorities and client opportunities into scalable enablement strategies, client journeys, campaigns, tools, routines, and implementation plans.

This individual will:

  • Work across Preferred Business, Consumer, Small Business, Marketing, Product, Field Leadership, Data, Technology, Finance, Risk, and other support partners to move initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Independently manage multiple strategic priorities.
  • Build stakeholder alignment and identify risks and dependencies.
  • Ensure solutions are practical, measurable, and ready for field execution.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource on acquisition, demand generation, client engagement, and Preferred Business enablement.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of Preferred Business acquisition, demand-generation, onboarding, relationship-deepening, and retention initiatives.
  • Translate client, associate, and business insights into actionable enablement strategies, implementation roadmaps, and measurable success criteria.
  • Develop scalable client-engagement approaches across marketing, campaigns, inbound and outbound channels, banker journeys, and partner referrals.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Field Leadership, Data, Technology, Risk, Finance, Communications, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.

  • Establish clear project structures, decision routines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder accountabilities.
  • Use data, client insights, market opportunities, and field feedback to inform recommendations and prioritize enablement investments.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, recommendations, updates, and decision materials for senior leaders.
  • Represent Preferred Business Strategy & Enablement in cross-organizational forums and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Identify potential execution, operational, control, and client-experience risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Evaluate initiative performance and adoption, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend adjustments that strengthen business and client outcomes.
  • Support the development and knowledge-sharing of other Customer Segment Consultants and enablement teammates

Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and direction for multiple workstreams within enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall transformation goals and business strategy
  • Defines workstream objectives, timelines, and deliverables, and lead disciplined execution to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinates efforts across product, channel, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and progress across workstreams
  • Engages with senior leaders and executive stakeholders to influence priorities, maintain governance standards, and ensure accountability
  • Drive innovation and support change leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement and fostering a culture of continuous transformation

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in business strategy, sales enablement, client experience, acquisition, marketing enablement, project or program management, business transformation, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategic priorities into executable plans, solutions, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong project and program leadership capabilities, including management of milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how client journeys, field execution, marketing, products, technology, and operational processes work together to drive growth.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and influence decisions.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships and influence business partners and leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information and clearly articulate recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience identifying business, operational, execution, or control risks and coordinating practical mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to learn and apply new tools, technologies, business processes, and client-engagement approaches.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Small Business, Consumer Banking, Preferred Banking, Financial Center, or relationship-managed client segments.
  • Knowledge of Small Business client needs, acquisition opportunities, lending, deposits, cards, client onboarding, relationship deepening, and retention.
  • Experience designing or supporting marketing journeys, targeted campaigns, referral strategies, lead generation, or demand-generation programs.
  • Familiarity with field enablement, banker readiness, communications, training, sales tools, and adoption routines.
  • Experience partnering with marketing, product, digital, data, technology, field, finance, risk, and control teams.
  • Experience developing business cases, roadmaps, implementation plans, executive presentations, and performance updates.
  • Understanding of CRM, client segmentation, behavioral triggers, portfolio management, or data-driven next-best-action strategies.
  • Ability to connect enterprise capabilities and cross-line-of-business partnerships to Preferred Business growth opportunities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an innovation mindset, including the ability to identify practical uses for AI, automation, and emerging technology within client and associate journeys

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$108,000.00 - $163,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
