For more than three decades, investors worldwide have benefited from our disciplined, precise investment process and powerful global platform offering access to every major asset class, capitalization range and style across the indexing and active spectrums. SSIM is the investment management arm of State Street Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of financial services to institutions.
We are seeking a VP2, Predictive Analytics & Head of Markets Intelligence (Bangalore Lead) to help drive the scaling of our predictive analytics capabilities and markets intelligence function. This role will sit in Bangalore, operating at the intersection of data science and market intelligence— helping turn data into forward-looking automated insights that inform distribution, product strategy, and investment decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Client Data Solutions, this individual will lead a team of analytics engineers and business intelligence developers. The role will focus on building predictive models, translating market intelligence into actionable insights, and ensuring analytics outputs are directly tied to commercial outcomes such as flows, market share, and client engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role combining data science expertise, product mindset, and strong commercial orientation, helping SSIM move from descriptive reporting toward predictive and prescriptive decision intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Help drive the predictive analytics and markets intelligence strategy, aligning outputs to business priorities across the organization
Build forward-looking analytics capabilities including flows forecasting, redemption risk modeling, product demand signals, and market share analytics
Partner with stakeholders to convert strategic questions into production-ready analytical solutions that are adopted and used across the organization
Lead and develop a Bangalore-based hub of analytics engineers and BI developers, establishing a high-performing, scalable delivery model aligned to global priorities
Support integration of internal and external data sources (flows, holdings, client activity, market data, third-party datasets) alongside technology organization into curated intelligence products
Build and deploy data science models and ML frameworks that generate actionable insights across client behavior, channel opportunity, and product growth
Ensure analytics outputs are delivered through intuitive, high-impact formats (dashboards, decision tools, predictive signals) tailored to end users
Partner closely with Client Data Solutions to embed predictive intelligence into broader Client 360 and decision intelligence frameworks
Define and track KPIs that measure the value of predictive analytics, including adoption, decision impact, and commercial outcomes such as flows and retention
Drive innovation in advanced analytics, including use of AI/ML, generative AI, and automation to enhance insight generation and delivery
Ensure strong governance, data quality, and transparency across analytical methodologies and outputs
Qualifications
7–12 years of experience in data science, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics roles, ideally within asset management or financial services
Strong domain knowledge of asset management markets, distribution channels, fund flows, and competitive dynamics
Proven experience building and deploying predictive models (e.g., regression, classification, time series forecasting, ML models) in a commercial context
Experience translating analytics into business outcomes, with a demonstrated link between insights and measurable impact (e.g., improved flows, conversion, retention)
Leadership experience managing teams, with the ability to scale and develop analytics engineering and BI capabilities
Hands-on technical fluency across data science and analytics tools (Python, SQL, visualization platforms, cloud data environments)
Experience working with diverse datasets, including client, market, product, and third-party intelligence sources
Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution and incremental delivery
Highly organized, with the ability to operate in fast-moving, global environments
What Success Looks Like
Predictive analytics is embedded in commercial decision-making across distribution and product teams

Analytics outputs drive measurable improvements in flows, client targeting, and product strategy
A high-performing team delivering scalable, production-ready solutions for global stakeholders
