Location: 2300 Powell Avenue Erie, PA 16506
Direct Report: Tooling Supervisors
Purpose: Machine cylindrical components to precise dimensions using manual and/or CNC lathes.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Set up and operate lathe equipment
Perform turning, boring, threading, and facing operations
Interpret blueprints and specifications
Maintain dimensional accuracy
Authorities (including, but not limited to):
Adjust machine settings and tooling
Stop work for quality issues
Recommend process improvements
Primary Duties (including, but not limited to):
Machine round components to required tolerances
Hold tight tolerances
Soft or hard turn machining
Perform in-process inspections
Maintain tooling and machine
Document work performed
Qualifications/Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of lathe experience or equivalent training
Preferred Skills/Experience:
CNC lathe experience
Threading and tight tolerance work
Experience with mold-related components
Program experience in Mastercam
Records:
Inspection reports
Timecards
