Position Summary:
The Precast Manufacturing Laborer is responsible for assisting in the production of precast concrete products. This position involves preparing molds, placing and tying rebar, pouring and finishing concrete, and removing finished products from molds. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to perform demanding work in a fast-pace, production-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds for concrete pours by cleaning, oiling, and assembling components.
- Place, tie, and secure rebar and other reinforcement materials according to specifications.
- Pour, spread, and finish concrete within molds using proper tools and techniques.
- Remove finished precast products from molds safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain work areas, molds, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, including operating forklifts or other equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Assist other team members and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in precast, construction, or manufacturing preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive manual labor.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read tape measurements.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, industrial manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.
