Job Title: Pre-Sales / Senior Solution Architect - Microsoft Security
Location:
Remote, UK; 2 office days per month

As a Solution Architect at Brightsolid, you will play a pivotal role within our customer-focused, commercial success function. You’ll collaborate with expert Solution Architects specialising in Microsoft Security, Security Operations, Azure, AWS, and Hybrid Cloud solutions.

For this position, we are seeking an individual with solid knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies (such as Defender, Sentinel, and the broader Microsoft Security Stack) and Security Operations, alongside a foundational understanding of Cloud environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about advancing their expertise in Microsoft Security and Security Operations, eager to learn, and motivated to build a career in security architecture. We welcome applicants who may not have mastered every aspect yet but are driven to grow their skills and contribute to Brightsolid’s collaborative and innovative team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding customer needs: Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs, especially around security and compliance. Build strong relationships as a trusted advisor in their cloud and security journey.
  • Architecture Development: Design comprehensive hybrid cloud and security architectures, integrating Microsoft Security solutions with AWS, Azure, and Brightsolid Cloud, ensuring alignment with customer budgets and requirements.
  • Commercial Awareness: Produce customer solutions that meet or improve on available commercial budgets, fostering trust and growth throughout our partnership.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter resource on Microsoft Security and Hybrid Cloud technologies, providing guidance to internal engineering teams and customers, and acting as an escalation point for security-related queries.
  • Product Development: Contribute to the strategy and development of future security and cloud solutions, working with technology and product management teams.
  • Customer Discovery: Scope out existing technology and security solutions with customers and prospects to support recommended technical and security architectures.
  • Solution Implementation: Own the architecture during implementation, working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of secure solutions.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay abreast of emerging trends in Microsoft Security and Security Operations, sharing insights to foster a culture of learning and innovation.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a technical or presales role, with a focus on cloud and security technology.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Security or Security Operations.
  • Working knowledge of Azure.
  • Strong understanding of virtualisation, networking, storage, and security concepts.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required Skills (One or More of the Following)

  • Expert knowledge of cloud and security architecture.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Security Stack
  • Advanced knowledge in Cloud Security and Security Operations.


Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft, AWS, or similar certifications (especially in security).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud.

Working Pattern

Due to the secure nature of the work, we operate a hybrid working policy requiring presence at one of our UK locations at least twice a month, at your manager’s discretion.
