Job Description

Job Title: Director Nordics, Pre-Sales

Country: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland,

Our client has new positions within their Europe Technical team for pre-sales solution professionals with experience within the 5GSA, Policy Control, DPI, and Cloud Infrastructure industry.These positions will be based in the EMEA region in one of our client’s Northern European offices. The roles will come with regular travel throughout the region; working closely with the VP of sales in the region & reporting to the EMEA Presales VP.

The right to work in Europe is essential.

The roles will be pivotal in ensuring the continued development of our client’s solutions and will be able to influence the direction of the customer proposition. Previous experience in MNO 5GSA, Policy Control, DPI, Cloud Infrastructure, and IMS networks will be beneficial to the application. This role will also be pivotal in supporting the transition and sales enablement of our client’s AI-based solutions from Network Intelligence to voice-based AI applications.

The successful candidates will have either a successful track record in technical pre-sales in the wireless telecommunications industry ( direct pre-sales and in-depth technology-related experience in the Core/IMS/VAS market). Or a successful track record in technical design/strategy development in the wireless telecommunications industry. These roles would suit engineers with recent previous experience in pre-sales with tier 1 MNO’s in the Scandinavian/Northern Europe region.


Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and refinement of our client’s AI network & product strategy

Contribute to the development and refinement of our client’s Network vIMS Core network strategy

Contribute to the development and refinement of our client’s Cloud-based 4/5G Network Core and its deployment methodologies.

Contribute to the development and refinement of our client’s messaging and security solutions and its deployment methodologies.

Lead the technology engagement alongside the sales team in all phases of the selling process.

Interact with internal and external customers.

Work with Account managers to identify/qualify customer & prospect opportunities & define requirements

Work with Product Managers to reflect customer requirements in the feature set & road map

Lead, manage & provide direct technical input to customer RFXs.

Understand pricing mechanisms and support the sales team in building commercial proposals.

Maintain contact and open communication with customers to assist with future needs.

Lead the team in tender submissions.

Preparation of technical sales materials, including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.

Lead POC activities with customers

Create content to support the technical strength of our client’s solutions

Job Requirements:

Excellent understanding of vIMS or Packet Core technology and understanding of vendor landscape and competitive solutions.

Excellent understanding of public/hybrid and private cloud solutions, including automation and migration strategies.

Good understanding of AI principles and in developing sales enablement strategies.

Ability to influence and interact with all levels - from CTO to individual designer.

Good understanding of the 3GPP standards.

Good understanding of e2e network slicing and in developing customer solutions.

Good understanding of operator core and IT networks, including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of solutions.

Good understanding of NFVi in carrier-grade environments (either VNF or Container based)

Good understanding of MNO security and fraud technologies.

Excellent understanding of the technology and deployment methods used to support VoLTE & VoWiFi

Good understanding of the move to virtualise core network elements and how this impacts performance and cost.

Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking

Excellent communication skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels

Acute attention to detail & organisation

Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude

A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial

Significant, proven and demonstrable cellular wireless industry experience

• Excellent presentation and workshop hosting skills with the ability to influence the customer's senior technology teams.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent

Please note that the salary package is flexible depending on the value the successful candidate brings.
