The Mainframe Modernisation Pre-Sales Solution Architect provides technical pre-sales support for a leading global technology services provider’s mainframe application modernisation and refactoring solutions, helping enterprises modernise and migrate mainframe workloads to cloud-based platforms.
This is a customer-facing role requiring deep technical expertise in mainframe systems alongside modern cloud-native architectures. The Solution Architect works closely with sales teams, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders to effectively position enterprise-grade modernisation solutions.
What Will Your Job Look Like?
Working closely with sales teams to shape and support customer conversations
Engaging with customers to understand their existing mainframe environments and business objectives
Designing and positioning end-to-end modernisation and cloud migration solutions
Preparing and delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs
Collaborating with delivery, engineering, and product teams to define the optimal modernisation approach
Supporting deal scoping and helping define realistic, value-driven modernisation roadmaps
Acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire pre-sales lifecycle
All You Need Is…
3+ years of experience with a modernisation company, systems integrator, or hyperscaler
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect or technical consultant
Strong knowledge of mainframe applications and data technologies
Solid understanding of modern Java and/or .NET architectures deployed on cloud platforms
Experience creating and presenting technical pre-sales materials
