Pre-Sales Engineer – Enterprise Networking
The Pre-Sales Engineer – Enterprise Networking will support enterprise networking solution design and customer engagements by working closely with the sales team and clients to analyse technical requirements, design scalable networking solutions, and assist in proposal development. The role requires experience in enterprise network architecture, software-defined networking (SDN), and data centre networking solutions, along with exposure to ELV infrastructure projects and multi-vendor technologies including Huawei, Aruba, Cisco, and Juniper.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in enterprise networking pre-sales/engineering roles.
Strong understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN architectures, routing and switching technologies, network design, scalability, redundancy, and high availability.
Experience with campus networking, wireless LAN (WLAN), data centre networking architectures, and SDN technologies.
Familiarity with multi-vendor networking environments including Huawei, Aruba (HPE Networking), Cisco, and Juniper.
Knowledge of ELV infrastructure integration such as CCTV systems, access control, building management systems, and structured cabling.
Experience using network design and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) and preparing technical proposals and documentation.
Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Huawei HCIA/HCIP, Aruba Certified Professional, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS.
Strong communication, analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced pre-sales environment.
Responsibilities:
Design enterprise and data centre networking solutions based on customer requirements and best practices.
Develop high-level and low-level network architecture designs for campus networks, branch connectivity, and data centre environments.
Provide technical support to the sales team during customer meetings, presentations, and solution discussions.
Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities.
Prepare technical proposals, network architecture diagrams , bills of materials (BoMs), and solution design documents.
Support preparation of RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses.
Provide expertise in enterprise LAN, WLAN, SDN, routing and switching architectures, network segmentation, performance optimisation, and high availability designs.
Design and support networking solutions using Huawei, Aruba, Cisco, and Juniper technologies.
Analyse customer business requirements and existing network infrastructure to recommend suitable solutions.
Support solution evaluation, technical validation, and architecture reviews.
Provide networking design support for ELV projects, integrating networking with CCTV, access control, building management systems, and structured cabling.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, proposals, and evaluation reports.
Collaborate with implementation teams, project engineers, and vendor technical teams to ensure successful deployment and provide design validation and implementation guidance.
