Pre-Release Employment Navigator

What You’ll Do

As a Pre-Release Employment Navigator, you will report to the lead educator or Assistant Warden and play a key role in delivering services through cell-front and/or congregate settings. The services provided shall include:

• In-person and virtual facilitation of inmate training relative to employability and life skills;
• Interpretation of assessments;
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered;
• Collaborating with facility staff (Assistant Warden / Classification Supervisor/Release Officer) to establish pre-release connections with community providers and employers; and
• Assisting the facility with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Preference given to candidates with an associate’s degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
