Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
• Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
• Reads and updates production schedule to confirm plate availability and status.
• Interprets job information (i.e. spec sheet, graphic approval sheet, layout, color target).
• Locates and retrieves sleeves operating sleeve storage robot. Cleans sleeves. Visually inspects and measures the TIR of each sleeve. Quarantines out-of-spec sleeves.
• Measures stickyback thickness. Quarantines out-of-spec stickyback.
• Locates and retrieves plates from plate storage.
• Mounts plate on sleeves by operating plate mounter. Maintains quality check sheet and mounting log and records downtime when remounting. Stages mounted sleeves.
• Strips plates from sleeve by operating plate demounter and cleans plates manually or by operating the plate cleaner.
• Inspects plate and identifies plate mileage. Destroys plates in poor condition or with excessive mileage.
• Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft suite products (i.e. Word, Excel) required.
• Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (i.e. tape measure).
• Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
• Operating experience in a manufacturing environment required. Mounting experience preferred.
• 12-hour shift work experience required.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
