1. ROLE PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

To work with the Leading Hand Printer to ensure individual machine output is maximised and quality standards are maintained on individual machines whilst adhering to health and safety regulations. Could cover for Leading Hand Printer in the event of absence.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Contribute to machine efficiency to produce consistently high output and quality.
• First line problem solving on the machine, identifying technical problems and providing solutions.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed at all times. Employees are responsible for their own health and safety and that of others.
• Assist in make-readies effectively and expediently.
• Continuously monitoring the quality of the press and making the necessary process adjustments to ensure quality is maintained and waste is kept to a minimum.
• Report, immediately any machine malfunctions to the Leading Hand Printer.
• To understand the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement.
• To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct
• The above list is not exhaustive. You will be required to undertake other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business.

4. CAPABILITY(qualifications, experience and skills)

Essential

• Computer Literate
• Print experience would be considered an asset.

Competencies

• Problem solving straightforward problems regarding ink and paper stock, adjusting the press as required. Judgement is based on practice and precedence rather than analysis of information.
• Good understanding of the printing process required.
