Pre-Operation Technician II

We are looking for a Pre-Operation Technician II to join our team in Florianópolis. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling interventions and formalizing the availability of the company’s generation and transmission assets, acting as a key liaison between ENGIE and the Brazilian National Electric System Operator (ONS).

Your Responsibilities

  • Carry out the intervention scheduling process for all company facilities, ensuring compliance with ONS Grid Procedures.
  • Manage, analyze, and standardize internal documents, as well as prepare and issue external documentation for ONS and other electricity sector agents.
  • Conduct negotiations required for the approval, rescheduling, or cancellation of interventions with external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Annual Electrical Operation Planning process by executing the internal Outage Scheduling process in coordination with the Maintenance, Asset Management, and Portfolio Management teams.
  • Prepare, update, and adapt reports, operating procedures, training materials, and training programs for the pre-operation team.
  • Maintain direct communication and relationships with ONS representatives, operational units, and external stakeholders.
  • Comply with and promote Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management standards applicable to the role.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or Electromechanics, or Operator Training certification.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ONS Grid Procedures and outage scheduling processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of operational processes and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Strong analytical skills and clear, objective communication for direct interaction with ONS and other industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and a strong sense of cooperation.
  • Basic English proficiency is desirable.
