We are seeking a full-time, Pre-Ets Employment Skills Instructor for our Starworks Program. In this role you will be an integral part of the daily programming/activities of the Program. Specifically working with high school aged students in the Pre-Ets program teaching employment skills and how to incorporate our WOW! Magic principles in all aspects of their work lives.

We are looking for a talented individual who is enthusiastic, nice, with a can-do attitude. Someone who demonstrates an obvious passion for the people we serve and puts our WOW! philosophy into action.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Works with MRC and StarWorks Team to develop a vocational programming for the Pre-Ets program
  • Communicates with MRC frequently to ensure quality services
  • Offers training sessions to families and schools to elicit new student.
  • Community outreach to find internships, job tours and to develop relationships within the local communities
  • Ability to advocate for students with disabilities and their families
  • Implements classes for students during and/or after school times to teach the Pre-Ets curriculum. Must be flexible with work hours
  • Maintains a regular caseload, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner which may include: Monthly progress notes, Service plans, Intakes, and Case files



Qualifications

  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Use the highest standard of ethical conduct at all times, this includes respecting the confidentiality of Colleagues and Students
  • Positively promote the image of Students with developmental disabilities and American Training, Inc.
  • Ability to work cohesively as a team while implementing WOW! Magic
  • A valid driver’s license, the use of a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and a satisfactory CORI are required
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
