Job Description

Professor Eric So is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for a full-time Research Assistant position. A minimum one-year appointment with an option for a second-year appointment involves close collaboration on all stages of research, resource development, and program initiatives to support generative AI efforts in teaching, learning, and research.

We are seeking a dedicated Research Affiliate to support multiple generative AI research and teaching initiatives at MIT Sloan. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in computer science, business analytics, economics, and/or finance who is interested in the applications of AI. The Research Assistant will work closely with faculty on AI-centric research and integrating generative AI into course materials, focusing on advanced data analysis and the use of AI tools in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Professor Eric So and other faculty members on research projects.
  • Support hands-on projects in generative AI applications.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-enhanced course content.
  • Aid in data analysis and visualization.
  • Assist in the integration of generative AI into course materials and teaching methodologies.
  • Participate in the development of resources and programs to support generative AI efforts in teaching and learning.

Qualifications

  • Strong background and familiarity with various generative AI tools.
  • Experience or strong interest in the application of AI.
  • Proficiency in Python, data analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and skilled in managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Experience working with social media.
