Pre-Construction Coordinator / Estimator

As Pre-Construction Coordinator / Estimator, you'll sit at the intersection of Estimating and Business Development, helping turn opportunities into well-planned, well-priced projects. It's a great role for someone who enjoys the numbers and details of estimating but also wants greater exposure to clients, proposals, and the front end of the business.

What You'll Do

You'll support the estimating team through the full pre-construction process — reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing quantity takeoffs, obtaining and analyzing subcontractor and supplier pricing, building estimates, and helping develop competitive bids. At the same time, you'll work closely with Business Development to coordinate proposals, presentations, client information, project opportunities, and follow-up activities. You'll help track upcoming opportunities, maintain estimating and CRM information, and ensure the team has what it needs to move projects from opportunity → proposal → award.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, pre-construction, project coordination, or a related role
• Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, interiors, renovations, or fit-outs is highly valued
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Comfortable with quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor bids, and estimate preparation
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; experience with estimating or construction software is an asset
• Excellent organization and attention to detail — you're someone who catches the things others miss
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with an interest in growing your career in pre-construction and business development
