Job Category: ConstructionPOSITION SUMMARY: This position will support the preconstruction team by managing the flow, visibility, and coordination of estimating and preconstruction efforts. The primary roles and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain the estimating log, ensuring real-time accuracy of project status, due dates, assignments, and values
- Drive alignment of opportunity data across marketing, estimating, and finance platforms
- Coordinate estimate setup, including estimate number creation and alignment with internal systems
- Track and support the go/no-go process by coordinating input, following up with stakeholders, and documenting decisions
- Help ensure estimating resources are aligned with confirmed pursuit strategy
- Maintain estimating workload tracking to provide visibility into team capacity and upcoming commitments
- Identify potential resource constraints and communicate conflicts early
- Support leadership with clear, actionable information to inform prioritization decisions
- Establish and maintain internal estimating milestones for each pursuit
- Ensure internal review meetings are scheduled and occur at appropriate stages
- Monitor progress and flag risks early to prevent last-minute compression of effort
- Support development of subcontractor bid lists using standardized templates
- Track subcontractor participation across trades and projects
- Identify and escalate gaps in coverage early in the process
- Ensure bid readiness by maintaining organized subcontractor quotes, leveling documentation, and file structures
- Support consistent folder structures and naming conventions across all projects
- Assist with post-bid organization to support smooth transition to procurement and operations
- Standardize and maintain estimating platform setup within multiple estimating software across all projects
- Support consistent use of preconstruction tracking tools such as Join
- Ensure alignment between estimating outputs and tracking platforms
- Assist in development and implementation of standardized workflows and best practices
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure timely delivery of estimating inputs for proposal submissions
- Interface with Procurement, Operations, and Finance to maintain alignment of project information
- Promote clear and consistent communication across project teams

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or similar role
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and subcontractor coordination preferred
- Experience with estimating and project tracking software (e.g., Sage Timberline, BuildingConnected, Join) a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
