Pre-Assembly Operator

At Sidel’s Santa Maria da Feira site in Portugal, one of our main production centres specializing in conveyors and packaging equipment, every component assembled helps build solutions that support customers around the world. As a Pre-Assembly Operator, you will act as a skilled craftsperson, shaping reliable industrial equipment that contributes to Sidel’s mission of delivering high-quality packaging solutions with safety, precision, and innovation at their core. Joining the production team, you will collaborate closely with quality and engineering teams in a modern manufacturing environment equipped with advanced technologies. Your work will directly support operational excellence and customer satisfaction while contributing to a culture where teamwork, continuous learning, and attention to detail matter every day.

YOUR MISSION

• Assemble industrial machinery and equipment while ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models to build and adjust mechanical structures and components.
• Perform metalworking activities such as drilling, cutting, and threading with precision and care.
• Assemble pneumatic systems and support welding activities whenever required.
• Identify, report, and help resolve assembly issues or deviations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining accuracy, organization, and compliance throughout the assembly process.

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical training or professional experience in mechanics, industrial assembly, metalworking, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in industrial mechanical assembly and confidence reading technical drawings.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and metalworking processes; welding experience is considered an advantage.
• Basic computer skills combined with strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility.
• Collaborative mindset, effective communication skills, and commitment to teamwork.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and following company procedures.
