Riccarton Clinic is a busy combined General Practice and Urgent Care clinic located at Church Corner, Upper Riccarton. Open every day of the year from 8.00am to 8.00pm, our team of 110+ health professionals ensure that the healthcare needs of many are met. About the role

We are seeking a Practice Nurse to play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care at Riccarton Clinic.

As a permanent part-time Practice Nurse (0.8 FTE) in our General Practice team, you’ll be working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients and whānau. You’ll be responsible for:

• Conducting nursing assessments and providing evidence-based nursing care and interventions within your scope of practice.
• Offering ongoing, culturally safe care that meets the needs of patients and their families.
• Maintaining clear, accurate, and timely patient documentation.
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to support positive patient outcomes.
• Supporting the delivery of practice nursing services in line with your level of training, competence, and scope of practice.

What We’re Looking For

If you have experience in General Practice and are looking to grow within Riccarton Clinic, you may be the perfect fit! We are seeking someone with:

• Current New Zealand registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, with a current practising certificate
• The ability to work confidently and safely within your professional scope of practice.
• Practice nursing experience is desirable.
• A current Vaccinator Certificate is preferred.
• A Smear Taker Certificate is desirable.
• Experience or skills in areas such as cervical screening, spirometry, sleep assessments, COPD clinics, or other relevant long-term condition management would be advantageous, particularly for applicants applying at RN level.
• Understanding and previous experience using a PMS; Medtech Evolution experience would be useful.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centred care.
