Functions as a team member to provide practice management responsibilities to assigned areas. Performs a variety of duties involving the supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned personnel and activities for the efficient day-to-day operational business/ administrative functions of assigned group and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the development and maintenance of a patient-centered, seamless health care delivery system that provides high-quality health care in settings that are attentive to patient convenience and satisfaction.
2. Serves as a liaison between the group administration, group practice physicians, and a variety of hospital departments and functions, such as Information Systems, Finance, Purchasing, Human Resources, Engineering, Billing Office, etc., to foster efficient operations and administration.
3. Works with marketing representative and outside sources to develop marketing campaign of selected sites. Coordinates photos and advertisements for new physicians and practices who join the group. Coordinates seminars and presentations by advertising, setting up site, etc.
4. Fosters an environment that provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Coordinates patient satisfaction survey. Maintains supply of printed materials. Coordinates label printing and mailing. Coordinates coding and sending to survey company.
5. Resolves patient complaints as required. Maintains results in database and creates statistical reports and graphs that provide meaningful information to Administration and group members. Distributes results and surveys to group members as appropriate.
6. Participates in the overall strategic planning of the group. Assists practices and physicians with the achievement of managed care, operating, and financial benchmarks. Monitors physicians’ financial performance and productivity. Assists physicians in meeting guidelines and implements changes where appropriate. Develops plans to grow individual practices. Develops and implements systems to maximize revenues and reduce costs where appropriate.
7. Reports on a variety of administrative or operational problems. Recommends corrective action, and foster changes as directed.
8. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of training needs of staff and others for assigned software components. Coordinate specific application training needs for staff such as patient registration, scheduling of patients, charge entry, and medical record processes with available resources.
9. Responsible for a variety of practice management related special projects.
10. Serves as liaison to information systems department to ensure Information System policies and procedures are applicable to support efficient community-based practice. Recommends revisions as necessary. Ensures information system policies, procedures and performance standards are implemented m the community-based practices.
11. Provides on-site support to troubleshoot problems with software operations. Evaluates Information System practices within the individual sites. Advises management of variances and make recommendations for Improvements.
12. Participates in special projects as needed, such as but not limited to . practice start-up or practice closure.

II. Position Qualifications:


License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. BSBA in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Preferred:

Experience/Skill:

Required:
1. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years directly related work experience in physician practices.
3. Prior leadership experience with proven team building.
4. Exceptional analytical skills are necessary in order to perform various data analysis techniques, review statistical data for the purpose of departmental planning and control, in the preparation and maintenance of budgets and in problem solving.
5. Knowledge of medical practices procedures and a variety of computerized software applications such as EPIC, Word and Excel.
6. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
