Greencross Baldivis is looking for an experienced and people-focused Practice Manager to join our team and help lead the next exciting chapter of our clinic.

This is a unique opportunity to join a genuinely supportive, high-performing veterinary team while partnering with our new Veterinary Director, commencing at the end of 2025, to shape the future of Greencross Baldivis together.

Due to the specialised nature of the role, we're seeking someone with veterinary industry experience who understands the unique challenges and rewards of veterinary practice. Baldivis runs on trust, respect, and teamwork.

  • No ego culture and no unnecessary hierarchy
  • A team where asking for help is encouraged and supported
  • Strong relationships built on trust and mutual respect
  • Mentorship and development built into everyday practice
  • Highly skilled veterinarians and nurses who work collaboratively
  • A genuinely supportive environment where people enjoy coming to work
  • Strong focus on patient advocacy and gold-standard care

This is a clinic where everyone's contribution matters and where leaders work alongside their teams.

A Fantastic Time to Join

We're currently operating Monday to Thursday, providing an excellent opportunity for the incoming Practice Manager to support the continued growth and development of the clinic alongside our new Veterinary Director joining early 2027.

This role offers the chance to influence clinic culture, team engagement, operational excellence, and strategic growth from the ground up.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting the clinic team while ensuring the smooth and successful day-to-day operation of the practice.

Working closely with the Veterinary Director and regional leadership team, you'll be responsible for creating a positive team environment while driving operational performance and client experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the veterinary nursing and reception teams
  • Building and maintaining a positive, engaged clinic culture
  • Managing clinic operations, workflow, and administration
  • Supporting rostering, workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding
  • Monitoring clinic performance and key business metrics
  • Supporting the professional development of team members
  • Ensuring outstanding client service and patient care standards
  • Managing stock control, inventory, and clinic resources
  • Maintaining compliance and operational standards
  • Supporting local marketing and community engagement initiatives
  • Working closely with the Veterinary Director to drive clinic growth and success
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the clinic

This is a leadership-focused role with the opportunity to have a genuine influence on the clinic's future direction.

The Work You'll Support

Our caseload is varied and often complex, ranging from preventative healthcare through to medical workups, surgery, emergency presentations, and ongoing case management.

We believe in gold-standard medicine, continuity of care, and taking the time to do things properly. Our team values collaboration, thoughtful decision-making, and delivering the highest standard of care possible for every patient.

Tools That Match Our Standards

Our team is supported by excellent facilities and equipment, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • Dental radiography
  • In-house pathology
  • High-quality ultrasound
  • Modern surgical equipment including cautery
  • Advanced anaesthetic monitoring equipment

One of the benefits of joining Greencross in Western Australia is the strong connection across clinics.

Teams collaborate regularly, share knowledge, and support one another whenever needed. You'll become part of a broader network of experienced veterinary leaders, nurses, and veterinarians who genuinely enjoy helping each other succeed.

We recognise the value experienced leaders bring to a clinic.

We offer competitive remuneration based on your leadership experience, management capability, and contribution to the ongoing success of the clinic. We're happy to have open conversations to ensure your package reflects the value you'll bring to the team.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous Practice Management, Head Nurse, Senior Veterinary Nurse, or veterinary leadership experience
  • Has a strong background working within the veterinary industry
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills

  • Has strong knowledge of veterinary clinic operations and client service standards
  • Is confident supporting rostering, recruitment, team development, and business performance
  • Leads with positivity, empathy, accountability, and professionalism
  • Is proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment
  • Has strong organisational and communication skills
  • Is passionate about building positive workplace cultures and supporting exceptional patient care

Most importantly, you're someone who understands veterinary practice, genuinely enjoys supporting veterinary professionals, and wants to help create a clinic where both people and pets thrive.
