Practice Manager (Full Time) - Greencross Vets Five Dock

Lead with purpose. Build a team people love being part of. Make a real impact every day.

We’re looking for a full-time Practice Manager to lead our team at Greencross Vets Five Dock. This role is ideal for either an experienced Practice Manager or a Senior Veterinary Nurse ready to step into leadership, who is organised, people-focused, and passionate about both patient care and team wellbeing.

You’ll be stepping into one of our larger Sydney clinics, recently refurbished with a modern fit-out and brand-new equipment, supported by a loyal client base and a collaborative, welcoming team.

About the Clinic

At Greencross Five Dock, we’ve built a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

  • A friendly, close-knit team that supports one another
  • Strong focus on high standards of patient care and customer service
  • A collaborative environment where learning and development are encouraged
  • A workplace where wellbeing and team engagement are prioritised

We’re looking for a like-minded leader who values teamwork, communication, and delivering excellent care.

Working With Us

Our approach is team-based, supportive, and grounded in respect.

  • Clients are supported by a team of vets and nurses, rather than a single point of contact
  • Nurses are actively involved in patient care, client communication, and preventative health
  • Open communication and feedback are encouraged
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement without unnecessary pressure or hierarchy

This is a clinic where your voice is heard, and your leadership will make a genuine difference.

Living & Working in Five Dock

Five Dock offers the perfect balance of inner-city access and relaxed suburban living.

  • Easy access to the Sydney CBD via public transport
  • Close to waterfront parks and Parramatta River walking tracks
  • A vibrant local food scene, known for its Italian cafés and restaurants
  • A strong sense of community, with local shops and markets
  • A lifestyle that blends convenience with a welcoming neighbourhood feel

It’s an ideal location for anyone looking to grow their career while enjoying a connected, community-oriented environment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position, combining operational management with clinical involvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily clinic operations (rostering, stock, workflow, client records)
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the team
  • Maintaining a positive, productive team culture
  • Monitoring performance and supporting clinic growth
  • Contributing to local marketing initiatives
  • Providing nursing support, training, and development when needed

About You

You bring a balance of clinical capability and leadership potential, along with a strong focus on people.

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience as a Practice Manager, or a Senior Nurse with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in animal handling
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities
  • A genuine focus on patient care, client experience, and team wellbeing

Why Greencross?

At Greencross, we provide the structure and support to help you thrive in your career.

Benefits include:

  • Ongoing continuing education and training programs
  • Annual Greencross Conference with clinical and leadership streams
  • Career progression opportunities across a national network of clinics
  • Access to a broad community of veterinary professionals
  • Staff discounts on veterinary services and products, including Royal Canin
  • Petbarn retail discounts
  • Access to Fitness Passport
  • Access to Pounce (discounts across retail, travel, fuel and more)
  • Mental health and wellbeing support programs, including confidential counselling
  • A genuine focus on work/life balance

Apply

If you’re ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive, community-focused clinic, we’d love to hear from you.
