Job Description

Are you an experienced veterinary professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for creating a positive team culture? We’re looking for a Practice Manager who is dependable, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll be a steady presence for our team, always thinking ahead and ensuring our clinic runs smoothly.

This is a maternity leave cover role with the possibility of another leadership role thereafter, a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership position, make a real impact, and further develop your career.

About Our Clinic

Located inside a busy Petbarn store, our clinic features 2 spacious consult rooms, dedicated cat and dog wards, a large prep area, and a fully equipped surgery suite. We’re proud of our strong relationships with long-standing clients while welcoming many new faces. Our goal is to provide exceptional care and service to every pet and person who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing day-to-day clinic operations, including stock control, rostering, and client record management
  • Leading and developing our team to deliver outstanding client experiences and patient care
  • Driving business growth through local marketing initiatives
  • Ensuring monthly KPIs are met
  • Participating in nursing duties as needed, including mentoring and training nurses

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent animal handling and in-depth knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Previous experience in practice management or as a senior vet nurse
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Good business acumen and organisational ability
