Greencross Vets is seeking an experienced and passionate Practice Manager to support and lead our teams across Greencross Booragoon and Greencross O'Connor.

This exciting dual-site leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Practice Manager, Vet Nurse with leadership experience or a healthcare leader who thrives on developing people, driving operational excellence, and creating positive team cultures.

Working across two established and community-focused clinics, you'll play a key role in supporting our veterinarians, nurses, reception teams, and clients while helping both clinics continue to thrive.

This is a full-time position worked across 4 days per week, offering an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact across both locations.

The Role

You'll split your time equally across both clinics, working:

  • 2 days per week at Greencross Booragoon
  • 2 days per week at Greencross O'Connor

The role will include:

  • 1 Administration Day at each clinic focusing on leadership, operations, people management, business performance, rostering, and clinic growth
  • 1 Reception Day at each clinic supporting client experience, team leadership, workflow management, and day-to-day operations

This hands-on leadership approach allows you to remain connected to both teams while maintaining a strong operational focus.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in driving the success of both clinics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day clinic operations across both sites
  • Leading, coaching, and developing veterinary nursing and reception teams
  • Supporting rostering, workforce planning, and recruitment
  • Monitoring business performance and achieving key performance indicators
  • Creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture
  • Supporting client experience and service excellence
  • Managing stock control and clinic administration
  • Driving local growth and community engagement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance and operational standards are maintained
  • Working alongside Vet Directors and regional leaders to achieve clinic goals
  • Supporting team development, engagement, and retention

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous Practice Management, Operations Management, or Healthcare Management experience
  • Has experience leading teams within a medical, healthcare, allied health, dental, veterinary, or similar professional environment
  • Is passionate about developing and supporting people
  • Has strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Possesses strong organisational skills and business acumen
  • Can confidently manage competing priorities across multiple sites
  • Leads with positivity, accountability, and empathy
  • Is proactive, solutions-focused, and highly organised
  • Enjoys building strong relationships with both clients and team members

A veterinary nursing qualification is no longer required, although experience within veterinary or animal care environments will be viewed favourably.
