About Generations Family Health Center: Generations Family Health Center is a regional community health center serving a 37-town rural region in eastern Connecticut, with locations in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich, and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School-Based Health Centers.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Practice Manager is the site-based operational leader accountable for the day-to-day performance, coordination, and readiness of the assigned ancillary site. The position provides administrative leadership to assigned staff; supports clinicians and clinical leaders; and promotes safe, efficient, patient-centered, and compliant operations. The site currently provides medical services and may add other clinical, enabling, or support services as organizational needs evolve.

The Practice Manager reports to the Director of Primary Care Operations and Outreach and works in close partnership with the Director of Nursing and Site Medical Director. The position also collaborates with other site, service-line, and organizational leaders whose functions support or influence site operations. These relationships do not transfer clinical authority or alter established reporting.

Salary: $73,185.00+ (commensurate with experience)

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and progressively responsible management experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of ambulatory health care or comparable operations experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities, preferred; FQHC or community health center experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, scheduling, patient flow, patient service, performance improvement, change implementation, and operational problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record and practice-management systems and data reporting; knowledge of relevant FQHC, HRSA, FTCA, PCMH, accreditation, privacy, quality, safety, and labor requirements preferred.
  • Prior clinical-support experience or certification, including Medical Assistant or LPN experience, and bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
