Practice Manager

Family Practice Medical Centres has proudly operated for over 25 years, delivering patient-first healthcare across Queensland and New South Wales. As a trusted, values-driven Australian family business, we are now seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead operations at our Burpengary clinic.

About the Role:

This full-time role (approx. 38 hours/week) is pivotal to ensuring the smooth, efficient and high-quality running of our medical centre. You’ll play a leadership role in managing people, systems and service delivery while helping grow the clinic as a trusted health hub in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of clinic operations and staff
• Coordinating doctors’ schedules, nursing support and reception workflows
• Financial oversight, including billing, banking and monthly reporting
• Staff rostering, recruitment and performance leadership
• Managing quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness
• Ensuring compliance with RACGP, workplace health and safety and privacy standards
• Representing the clinic professionally as its public-facing leader

About You

We are seeking a confident, organised and community-focused leader with:

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar management role (health or medical field preferred)
• Proven team leadership and HR management skills
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• High-level communication (written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving ability and organisational skills
• Computer literacy, including MS Office

Desirable:

• Experience with Pracsoft, Medical Director, PRODA, HPOS or Medical Objects
• Familiarity with Medicare billing and healthcare system workflows
• A current driver’s licence (for occasional travel and training)

Location:

Family Practice at Burpengary - A modern clinic at the heart of a thriving residential community, close to childcare, schools and major retail centres. Lead a growing team with strong local ties and patient loyalty.

Salary Range:

$70,000 – $90,000 per annum (based on experience)
