United by a shared purpose - Healthy Animals, Happy Owners - we’re proud to champion long-term animal health and welfare through the dedication of every individual across our international network.   The Role Working closely with the CD, Head Nurse, Head Receptionist & Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice while enhancing both team and client experience. Your responsibilities include: *Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice*Lead, manage, and develop the practice team*Drive financial performance, budgeting, and KPI management*Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and health & safety standards*Deliver exceptional client service and patient care*Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management*Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement  We are looking for someone who: *Has proven management or leadership experience (veterinary or healthcare background desirable but not essential)*Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and financial acumen*Is an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and engage teams*Thrives in a fast-paced environment*Is organised, proactive, and solutions-focused*Has a genuine passion for people development and client care  Our Practice & Team Castle Vets is a well-established, small animal hospital in the centre of Reading with a strong reputation for high clinical standards and compassionate care. We have a very experienced team, with six vets having over 10 years’ qualifications as well as our 12 supportive nurses. We foster a collaborative, supportive culture with a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing, while also embracing fresh ideas and innovation.
