As a trusted, values-driven Australian family business, we are now seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead operations at our Family Practice at Yamba clinic.

Set in one of Northern NSW’s most picturesque beach towns, our Yamba clinic blends regional lifestyle with professional impact. Ideal for someone who wants balance and meaning.

About The Role

This full-time role (approx. 38 hours/week) is pivotal to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and high-quality running of our medical centre. You’ll play a leadership role in managing people, systems, and service delivery while helping grow the clinic as a trusted health hub in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of clinic operations and staff
  • Coordinating doctors’ schedules, nursing support and reception workflows
  • Financial oversight, including billing, banking and monthly reporting
  • Staff rostering, recruitment and performance leadership
  • Managing quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness

  • Representing the clinic professionally as its public-facing leader

About You

We are seeking a confident, organised and community-focused leader with:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar management role (health or medical field preferred)
  • Proven team leadership and HR management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • High-level communication (written and verbal)
  • Strong problem-solving ability and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office

Desirable:

  • Experience with Pracsoft, Medical Director, PRODA, HotDoc, Practice Cloud or Medical Objects
  • Familiarity with Medicare billing and healthcare system workflows
  • A current driver’s licence (for occasional travel and training)

Why Join Us?

At Family Practice Medical Centres, you're never on your own. We’re a family-run organisation that believes in growing people as much as we grow clinics.

  • Deep, Ongoing Support
You’ll be backed by a national management team, local clinic leadership, and peer Practice Managers across the state. Whether it’s operational advice, HR support or system guidance — help is always just a call away.
  • Career Growth & Leadership Pathways
We invest in your future with structured leadership development, mentoring, and clear progression pathways. Many of our senior leaders started exactly where you are.
  • Work That Matters
We’re here because we care. This is your chance to be part of a clinic that truly impacts its local community — where your ideas are valued, your people matter, and patients always come first.
  • Genuine Team Culture
With more than two decades of history, our clinics thrive on strong relationships, mutual respect, and a shared purpose: delivering exceptional care.

Salary Range:

$70,000 – $90,000 per annum (based on experience and capability)
