Job Description

Role Purpose

The Practice Management Business Partnerempowers Wealth Managers and their teams to build more efficient, scalable, and client‑centric practices. The role blends business coaching, practice development, and Wealth Manager enablement, delivering both group learning and tailored one‑to‑one coaching. The focus is on helping Wealth Managers grow sustainably through improved marketing, client experience, operational discipline, and strategic planning.

Core Responsibilities

  • Wealth Manager Coaching: Deliver structured and ad‑hoc coaching to Wealth Managers, branch teams, and leadership, support strategic business planning, client experience, growth strategies and succession planning.
  • Advanced Practice Development: Provide high‑level coaching to top‑performing advisers and their teams, focusing on scale, efficiency, and long‑term business value.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate workshops, group programmes, and development sessions using Practice Intelligence tools and external best‑practice frameworks.
  • Practice Assessments: Conduct structured reviews of adviser practices, identifying gaps in marketing, client service, operations, and team structure.
  • Content & Programme Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of coaching materials, toolkits, and learning resources.
  • Branch & Leadership Collaboration: Partner with Divisional Directors, Branch Supervision, Marketing and leadership teams to diagnose development needs and design targeted interventions.
  • Performance Support: Provide feedback, track progress, and support advisers in achieving business‑plan milestones and professional‑development goals.
  • Event Representation: Represent the Practice Intelligence function at conferences, regional meetings, and adviser development events.

Skills & Competencies

  • Coaching Expertise: Strong background in business coaching, practice management, or adviser development.
  • Facilitation & Presentation: Confident delivering workshops, training sessions, and keynote‑style presentations.
  • Practice Management Knowledge: Understanding of the wealth manager journey, client‑service models, marketing approaches, and operational structures.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess wealth manager practices, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Relationship Building: High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with diverse adviser personalities and business models.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in wealth management, financial advice, or professional‑services coaching.
  • Experience delivering training, consulting, or adviser‑development programmes.
  • Business coaching qualification (e.g., EMCC, ICF, AC) (preferred).
  • Degree or equivalent level education (preferred).
