
Practice Lead / Accountancy Practice Director
Location: Kent / South East London
Salary: Basic salary + financial backing + long term growth opportunity
A unique opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountancy professional to take the lead in building and running a new accountancy practice with financial and commercial backing already in place.
This role is ideally suited to someone who may already be running their own small practice, managing a portfolio of clients, or operating semi-independently, but is looking for the security of a basic salary alongside the chance to grow something bigger.

The role
The successful individual will take a leading role in the launch, development, and day to day running of a new accountancy company. They will be responsible for overseeing client delivery, building relationships, supporting growth, and helping shape the overall direction of the practice.
This could be a particularly strong fit for someone whose existing practice has given them a solid base of experience and clients, but who would benefit from stronger financial support, wider commercial backing, and the stability of a guaranteed basic salary.
Key responsibilities
Lead the setup and ongoing development of the accountancy practice
Manage and grow a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
Oversee delivery across accounts, tax, and general practice services
Build long term client relationships and support the growth of the client base
Develop internal processes, systems, and ways of working
Help shape the commercial direction and service offering of the business
Recruit, manage, and support future team members as the practice grows
Ensure high professional standards and regulatory compliance are maintained
What we are looking for
ACCA, ACA or similarly qualified
Strong accountancy practice background
Experience running your own practice, managing your own client portfolio, or operating at a senior level within a firm
Strong understanding of both the technical and commercial side of practice
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a business unit
Ambition to build, lead, and grow something over the long term
Someone who values both independence and the security of financial backing
