Our client, a highly regarded Bay Street law firm, is looking to add a Practice Counsel to support its M&A and Capital Markets groups in a high-impact and strategic role.
Responsibilities include analyzing and sharing market developments and trends, developing and maintaining internal resources and precedents, collaborating with and acting as a key resource to lawyers on technology-driven solutions and the use of AI, providing day-to-day practice subject matter expertise on complex legal issues, teaching CLE programs, and supporting business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of transactional experience in a major Canadian business law firm and/or relevant work experience in-house or with a regulator (stock exchange or securities commission), as well as a strong understanding of securities regulations, transactional documents, and market practices.
