Job Duties:
Maintain Louisiana Practical Nurse licensure annually and CPR certification on or prior to the expiration date.
Participate in staff development in-services based upon assessed learning needs.
Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement activities and orientation of new staff.
Obtain and maintain IV therapy certification on or before the expiration date
Any and all other duties as assigned to include ensuring departmental coverage.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment.
Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Practical Nurse Licensed 1, 2 or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
Work Location: This Practical Nurse Licensed 1-3 position is located in the Medicine Unit.
Work Hours: Shift will be determined by Manager/ Supervisor.
Compensation: The following is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) for the LPN 1, 2 or 3 Vacancy within Medicine Unit:
LPN 1 – Starting Salary is $19.48/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
LPN 2 – Starting Salary is $20.84/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
LPN 3 – Starting Salary is $22.30/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
